SYNOPSIS
Au début du XXe siècle, Egon Schiele scandalise la société viennoise avec ses peintures et son refus de toute compromission. Mais le monde dans lequel il évolue ne tardera pas à disparaître. Le portait fin et sensible d’un artiste à travers les femmes qui ont jalonné le cours de son existence et influencé son art.

SYNOPSIS
At the beginning of the 20th century, Egon Schiele scandalized Viennese society with his paintings and his refusal to compromise. But the world in which he lived would soon vanish. A delicate and sensitive portrait of an artist, seen through the women who marked his life and influenced his art.

Dieter Berner (1944- )
Né à Vienne, il a débuté au théâtre avant de se consacrer au cinéma. Il a réalisé près d’une quarantaine de films pour la télévision et le cinéma, dont Berliner Reigen (2007), Le Mal de la jeunesse (2010) et Egon Schiele (2016), qui a connu un succès international. Depuis 1983, il enseigne la réalisation et l’écriture de scenarii dans les écoles de cinéma de Vienne, Munich et Berlin.
Dieter Berner (1944- )
Born in Vienna, he began his career in theater before devoting himself to cinema. He has directed nearly forty films for television and cinema, including Berliner Reigen (2007), Youth Without God (2010), and Egon Schiele (2016), which achieved international success. Since 1983, he has been teaching directing and screenwriting at film schools in Vienna, Munich, and Berlin.
